Wendy Powitt is the artist behind Ghost and Lola jewellery.
Initially trained as a Fashion and Textile Designer, Wendy worked in Fashion as a Designer, illustrator and entrepreneur in Australia and USA before moving up to the Northern Rivers and studying Sculpture at Southern Cross University.
In 2013, Wendy began combining her passions of vintage collecting, fashion and sculpture into her work under the Ghost and Lola label.
You will find her most days in the studio developing her eclectic pieces. Each Ghost and Lola piece is handmade, contemporary and truly original. Ghost and Lola’s modern designs are brought to life sustainably with stunning vintage pieces of collected French Jet, Lucite, golden brass and semi precious stones.
As a Fashion Designer, Wendy was awarded the Telstra Premiers prize for “Best Business Run by a Woman” as well as receiving a Merit Award from the International Fashion Institute. In 1992 Wendy Designed the Australian Olympic uniforms for the Barcelona Olympics.
As a sculptor, Wendy has won the Sculpture Award for the Coraki Art Prize as well as The Border Art Prize Shirley Kennedy Encouragement Award
