30 August – 29 September
Join us for opening night on Friday, 30 August 5pm – 7pm
With much anticipation and hype, Christian Palmer’s latest exhibition Now & Then is coming to M|Arts Precinct in partnership with Artmarketspace.com.
The backbone of this solo show highlights the fight to protect endangered species. Using his trademark graffiti-style lyrics and phrases, Christian brings their voice and plight to life. White rhinos, elephants, tigers and lions feature in this journey of endangerment along with some of his well-known spray painted and stencilled animals that have made Christian an internationally recognized artist.
Christian is a Byron Bay based artist whose work is a result of the collision between the confines of an establishment fine art background (Central St Martins College of Arts, London), and the alluring pull of the street-art movement with its unrestricted communication and interaction through public spaces. Christian has exhibited globally alongside street artists Banksy and T.WAT, to name a few.
Lee Steer, Co-Founder & CEO of Artmarketspace.com says “This exhibition is a wonderful testament to Christian’s passion not just for endangered animals, but to the plight of all animals. This collection of work takes you inside the minds of his subjects that will provoke and challenge you. Given the theme of Christian’s work, I am also delighted to announce that this prestigious event will be supporting the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation”.
We invite the community to come along and celebrate opening night of Now & Then with Christian on Friday 30 August, 5pm to 7:30pm, in the Long Gallery upstairs at M|Arts.
