A huge industrial warehouse and classic art deco building in Murwillumbah is being transformed into M-Arts Precinct – a vibrant place where artists and art lovers can come together over great coffee, drinks and food.
We are building quirky studios for artists, with 13 already occupied by exciting artists and makers from the region, these are open to the public Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm and Saturdays 10am – 1pm. Our gallery regularly hosts exhibitions by local and visiting artists and are open Wednesdays – Fridays 10am – 2pm and Saturday and Sundays 10am – 1pm.
Established and aspiring artists can buy all of their art supplies at Yellow Brick Studio which is located within M-Arts Precinct and Shop 1 / 105 Wollumbin Street.
Later in 2018, the Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre will have a dedicated space upstairs at M-Arts to display some artworks from the collection, and feature exhibitions by artists of our region. Soon visitors will be able to linger at the Precinct to soak up the atmosphere over a coffee and food at Bacaro next to our gallery on Brisbane street or enjoy a drink or two when Fitz+Potts open their fabulous bar in the studio precinct.
M-Arts Precinct is still a work in progress but there’s lots going on.
