In partnership with Artmarketspace, M|Arts Precinct is delighted to announce an exhibition of Unseen Works from the Estate of David Boyd, consigned by members of the Boyd family.
Artmarketspace CEO and former gallerist Lee Steer states “On behalf of our board of directors, I am delighted to announce the launch of this exciting exhibition of the David Boyd Estate in partnership with M|Arts Precinct. The space at M|Arts Precinct is the perfect opportunity to view and purchase art work by an Australian icon and at the same time take advantage of visiting Gallery DownTown, a dedicated gallery annexe of the Tweed Regional Gallery”.
Join Chairman of Artmarketspace Campbell Newman at this exciting launch on Friday 10 May, 5pm – 7pm in the Long gallery upstairs at M|Arts Precinct.
This prestigious collection is on view at M|Arts Precinct, Corner of Proudfoots Lane and Brisbane, Murwillumbah (NSW) from Friday May 10th through to Sunday June 2nd from 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday and from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays and online atwww.artmarketspace.com or via the Artmarketspace app which can be downloaded from the Apple or Google Play stores.
About David Boyd
David Boyd and Arthur Boyd (along with ceramicist and sculptor, Guy Boyd) were the most successful art-brothers Australia has ever had. While Arthur was the more famous painter in his day, works by David Boyd appear more often in the auction market and he is represented in the collection of every National and State Art Institution.
David Boyd left Australia to live in London in the 1960’s where he had great success as apainter and ceramicist, before finally returning home in 1975 where he lived till his passing in 2011.
