Empty Bowls
“Empty Bowls” is an international project to fight hunger. Wherever an Empty Bowls event is held, the basic concept remains the same: In exchange for a donation, participants get a meal and a bowl to keep to remind them of hunger. Empty Bowls events educate people and provide a means to create positive and lasting change in their own communities.
Previous events have raised in excess of $50,000 for the homeless and hungry in our community . We plan to continue the support and awareness on the 3rd of August 2024, 5pm-8pm at the M|Arts Precinct in Murwillumbah.
The monies raised will go directly to Agape Outreach Inc who do the most amazing job feeding our homeless, helping them with haircuts, laundry, finding them shelter, helping them apply for jobs, and more.
